Our Creative Journey.
I’m De Strange, an artist and designer based in Bruce Rock in the Central Wheatbelt of Western Australia. Mother of 3 awesome sons! My creative journey began through photography, where I spent many years capturing the ever changing beauty of the Wheatbelt and surrounding landscapes.
My husband Leigh run our farming business together and Leigh brought valuable knowledge of the land through his background as a fourth generation wheat and sheep farmer to my photography business too. His understanding of seasonal changes, farming landscapes and hidden locations helped shape many of our beautiful aerial landscape photography under Strange Images Photography.

Over time, my work expanded beyond photography into visual art and surface pattern design. Today I create original abstract artworks, wall art prints and mixed media collections inspired by open skies, wildflowers, native plants and the textures of the Australian landscape.
With over 25 years of creative experience, I now work under my name De-Anne Strange, bringing together photography, painting and design, into collections that are uplifting, expressive and deeply connected to nature.
Alongside original artworks and prints, selected designs are also available for licensing across home wares, textiles, fashion and lifestyle products.
